Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before your visit.

We kindly ask for at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or appointment changes. Late cancellations or missed appointments may be subject to a cancellation fee.

If you are going to be more than 10 minutes late, please call or text the clinic to let us know. We understand that unexpected delays happen; however, to respect the schedule of both your practitioner and other clients, your appointment may need to be shortened based on your arrival time. Your session will still end at the originally scheduled time, and the full service fee will apply.

We ask you arrive no more than 10 min before your scheduled treatment time. Front doors are locked during treatments to prevent walk ins from interrupting current massages. If you arrive too early for your appointment, we may still be in session with the previous client.

If your appointment time comes and the door is still locked, please text or call your practitioner.

Kyla (780-245-3272) or Laurene (780-233-1406)

To get the most out of your treatment, we recommend arriving a few minutes early to allow yourself time to settle in and complete any required intake forms.

Before your appointment, consider:

  • Drinking water and staying hydrated
  • Avoiding a large meal immediately before your session
  • Wearing comfortable clothing that is easy to change out of
  • Taking a moment to think about any areas of concern, goals, or changes you would like to discuss with your practitioner

If this is your first visit, please complete your intake forms prior to arriving if possible. This allows more time during your appointment to discuss your needs and focus on your treatment.

Yes! We direct bill most major insurance providers including: Sunlife, Blue Cross, Canada Life, Manulife, Group Source, ClaimSecure, Desjardins, Equitable Life, Greenshield and all other providers partnered with Telus Health.

Coverage varies by plan, so we recommend confirming your benefits with your insurer before your appointment.

If your claim cannot be submitted electronically or is declined, payment is still required at the time of your appointment. We'll provide a receipt that you can submit directly to your insurance company for reimbursement.

We encourage parents to arrange childcare whenever possible so they can fully relax and receive the maximum benefit from their treatment. However, we understand that this isn't always an option. Children are welcome to accompany you if they are able to remain respectfully quiet for the duration of your appointment, whether in the treatment room or the waiting area.

If you're experiencing a fever, contagious illness, or other symptoms that could affect your health or the health of others, please reschedule your appointment until you've recovered. There are no cancellation fees for illness as our priority is to maintain a safe and hygienic space.

At this time, appointments are available by booking only. We recommend scheduling your appointment in advance through our online booking system to ensure you are able to secure a time that works best for you.

If you are looking for a last-minute appointment, we encourage you to check our online booking page for current availability, or reach out to us directly and we will do our best to accommodate when possible.

Fire cupping is a traditional cupping technique that uses glass cups and a brief flame to create suction within the cup before it is placed on the skin. The suction lifts the tissues, creating a pulling sensation that may help reduce muscle tension, encourage circulation, and support your body's natural healing process.

At Kare Collective, Kyla is fully trained in fire cupping and performs with careful assessment and attention to your comfort throughout the treatment.

During a fire cupping session, Kyla will begin by discussing your goals, areas of concern, and any relevant health history to ensure the treatment is appropriate for you. Massage techniques are used to warm up the tissues and prepare the body before the cups are applied.

Glass cups are then placed on specific areas of the body using controlled suction. You may feel a pulling, tight, or stretching sensation as the cups create lift within the tissues. Depending on your treatment goals, cups may be left stationary or incorporated with other techniques, such as sliding cupping or stretching.

After your session, temporary circular marks may appear on the skin. This is a normal response to the suction created by the cups and does not indicate bruising or tissue damage. Your practitioner will always adjust the treatment based on your comfort level and ensure you feel informed throughout the process.

No! Cupping can be incorporated into any massage therapy treatment when appropriate and based on your individual needs and goals. If you are interested in adding cupping to your session, you can simply book a regular massage appointment and let your practitioner know at the beginning of your treatment.

Kyla offers a separate Fire Cupping appointment for clients who specifically want a treatment focused primarily on fire cupping, would like more extensive cupping work, or are looking to dedicate additional time to this technique. Fire cupping can require additional preparation and setup, allowing your practitioner to safely provide a more focused cupping experience.

Please note that not all practitioners offer fire cupping, but cupping techniques may be available as part of your treatment depending on your practitioner’s training and approach. If you are unsure which appointment type is best for you, please reach out and we would be happy to guide you.
